For the future owners and not only.
For the future owners and not only.
I am pleased to communicate with the owners of graduates my kennel, I expect from them news, photos. I rejoice in the victories Dalmatians Flight in Time at the dog show and their just "delicious" life under the wing of the owner. And of course I worry if affairs of a puppy are not going well. The choice of "their" owner - a very complex task, and it must be solved individually for each puppy. I have long made it a rule - do not rush.
Each prospective puppy owner who that appeals to me, I ask - Think! Think! Think!, weigh their capabilities, really appreciate all the nuances of keeping puppy and adult Dalmatian in future. I do not hide possible problems and not remain silent about the merits of this breed.
To each potential owner , what want to have puppy from my kennel, I ask questions. And it is important not only what kind of response I get.
I hope to increase the responsibility for the decision to buy a puppy (dog):
- Where do you live?
- What family? Children? What age?
- No whether in a family of people who suffer from allergies?
- Do all family members agree to have puppy(adult dog)?
- Why Dalmatian? What do you know about the breed?
- Were you owner or you have a dog now?
- What Family way of life? Do you like an active holiday or you prefer to relax on the couch, watching TV or socializing in social networks?
- Do you have free time for walks with Dalmatian (at least 2 hours per day + toilet before go то sleep)
- Are you ready to walk in any weather? Get up early in the morning, if your dog needs? at night?
- Have you a good place for walking, where Dalmatian can run without a leash?
- Where will live puppy (adult dog) in the house?
- Do you have a sufficiently resources for growing puppies (professional food, vaccinations, toys, walk ammunition, veterinary inspection )?
- Do you have plans to take part in dog shows, breeding?
-Do you know that little puppy will be long enough to have the toilet at home?
- You can take calmly and with a sense of humor to the damaged things and furniture?
- Will You tolerate some mess in the house until the puppy is growing?
- Do You have any relatives or friends, who will take the dog during your long absence?
Probably I have listed not all the questions, but it is basic.
I am saying: It is better you do not purchase a puppy from me, than will it return, or looking for a new owner.
I am categorically against the puppy as a gift!
I am categorically against the acquisition of a puppy for kids! A child can be an assistant in the care and upbringing of a puppy, but only assistant.
It is necessary to well realize that the puppy you get is not a day or two. It is a living entity, for which you take the responsibility for the next 10-15 years. It needs to respect, love, kindness, feeding of, care, veterinary care all their lives. Before you even choose a puppy, all to vote, not only the motives, but also the forces, means, patience, opportunities, living conditions, etc.
It must be remembered - each dog has its own character, temperament, intelligence, and do not need from them to demand what is not have - they will give you all: the love, trust, loyalty, sincerity, affection and protection.
But the first, you must give them it, because what you invest, in consequence, and get it!
Sincerely, Victoria Piskun.
